GambleAware has recently reported that almost 90% of problem gamblers who utilized the charity’s support services in Q3 experienced an improvement in their conditions.

The gambling charity’s new data comes from its NGTS and NGSN initiatives, through which GambleAware and numerous partner treatment providers deliver a variety of support services for gamblers experiencing problems from the pastime in the UK. In addition to revealing a high level of efficacy, the data has also highlighted that three-quarters of all people who requested support were able to be appointed within nine days in the third quarter, while half of them got support in five or fewer days.

GambleAware then mentioned that it has experienced an increase in the demand for problem gambling treatment services, with support provided through the country’s gambling helpline increasing year-over-year by 46%. The charity added that the helpline answers more than 44 thousand calls each year.

Lastly, the charity called for the UK government to reassure the country’s gambling support providers that the upcoming transition to a mandatory tax-based RET funding strategy will be able to provide third-sector organizations with adequate resources.
