GamCare joins GambleAware’s NGSN and receives funding

GamCare is the latest support organization to work with GambleAware’s NGSN to provide localized problem gambling help.

The newly renamed NGSN is GambleAware’s latest initiative aimed at reducing gambling-related harms across the United Kingdom. It involves a network of treatment specialists, who will be focusing on helping people with gambling problems on a local level. You can learn more about it here.

Through the newly secured funding, GamCare will be working as part of the NGSN for the upcoming three years and will continue utilizing its existing tools, such as the national gambling helpline, which it has been responsible for over 2.5 decades, to support those affected by gambling harms.

GamCare will enhance its resources and toolkit complementing the national helpline, which will further expand its positive reach. The charity will also have a prominent role in the coordination of the NGSN, as it will be working with numerous support partners to ensure a strong degree of collaboration and a high standard for the delivered help.

“We are excited to be working with the NGSN to continue providing help to people affected by various gambling problems across the United Kingdom. Having a stable and steady source of funding provides us with an excellent opportunity to look at ways of enhancing our support services in the long term. We are eager to collaborate with other charitable organizations as part of the NGSN in the near future.”

remarked the CEO of GamCare, Anna Hemmings.
