Genius Sports makes a debut contract with Benfica F.C.
Genius Sports is cooperating with Portugal’s football club Benfica to live-stream their games and to cover tracking data.
Though this is their 1st contract, Genius Sports has a history in Portugal by partnering with top football divisions.
Via Second Spectrum, betting data specialist will support the team with new technologies. They will also live-stream all of the games. Their television broadcast will be on Benfica play and Benfica TV and will engage the international audience.
Everyone at the team – players, coaches and the business partners will be given all the data and statistics:
- Player and Shot speeds
- Expected goals
- Pressing metrics
Coaches will have the tactical videos using AI-driven analytics, which will assist them to boost player’s skills.
