The construction of Hard Rock’s upcoming establishment in Athens has recently commenced.

The new casino establishment will be located in the coastal region of Athens, where the 1.5 billion euro property has recently entered the construction phase with a groundbreaking ceremony involving key people from Hard Rock International and its development partner firm, Gek Terna.

The new establishment will feature a gambling hall with 180 table games and 1.5 thousand gambling terminals, along with a hotel that will include 1.1 thousand rooms and over a dozen dining venues. Moreover, the property will also feature a theatre with 3 thousand seats and room for an additional 4 thousand standing guests.

Hard Rock International’s Chair, Jim Allen, commented:

“The groundbreaking ceremony for our upcoming establishment in Athens is quite a special occurrence for us as we prepare to expand the reach of our brand in Greece. We are very thankful for our partners and local political leaders who provided support for our latest project.”

Hard Rock’s Athens establishment will provide the local economy with over 3 thousand permanent jobs upon its completion, while a further 3 thousand employment opportunities will be available in its construction phase. The property is estimated to be completed sometime in 2027.
