Highlight Games announces latest expansion into Romanian market
Virtual video sports producer Highlight Games has announced the expansion of its international operations by acquiring a Romanian gaming licence.
The Romanian Gambling Authority has handed the firm a Class II gambling licence which will allow it to launch its flagship Soccerbet and NBA Last 60 products, as well as other offerings. SOCCERBET and NBA Last 60 will be available in English, Turkish and Italian variants, and will launch to Romanian customers during the first quarter of 2021.

We look forward to recreating the successes we have seen in Italy within the Romanian virtual sports market.”
This expansion into the Romanian gambling sector is the latest in a series of moves by the London-based operator. In October 2020, the firm commenced operations in the Philippines after signing an agreement with Kirschner Games International (KGI) in association with Broomhead Holdings Inc. and interactive marketing firm Red Dot Singapore.
Nick Gardiner, the firm’s other Co-CEO, proclaimed that the deal would “deliver a unique betting experience unlike any other currently available” in the Philippines betting market. This was followed by a UK deal in December which saw Soccerbet launch in all JenningsBet retail venues all over the country.
The digital football platform, which is described by JenningsBet Managing Director Julian Knight as ‘unlike anything else in our product offering’, is the best selling product in the European virtual sports market. Besides Soccerbet, the company’s NBA Last 60 and NBA Last 90 products are also quite popular, especially among US sports fans.
