IGT has recently signed a license extension with Sony for the latter’s Wheel of Fortune series.

Through this latest extension, the developer will retain its rights to use the Wheel of Fortune name and brand in its iGaming offerings for the forthcoming decade. The term of this extension will start in 2025, giving IGT the ability to utilize the popular series till the start of 2035.

The CEO of Worldwide Gaming at IGT, Renato Ascoli, commented:

“By securing our exclusive iGaming rights to the esteemed brand for the forthcoming decade, we will be able to further enhance our returns from our collaboration with Sony and continue delivering top-notch themed offerings to our clients and their players. Over the two and a half decades of working with our partner, we have created numerous innovative themed games and experiences that have been able to stand out from the competition and set new standards of quality in the sector.”

The EVP of Game Shows at Sony Pictures TV, Suzanne Prete, stated:

“This latest extension with IGT will ensure that fans all around the globe will be able to enjoy top-quality Wheel of Fortune gambling titles developed by our partner for the foreseeable future. We both share a dedication to innovation and integrating the popular series in novel ways to maintain Wheel of Fortune’s brand name and popularity.”

Back in March, Sony and IGT expanded Wheel of Fortune’s presence in the iGaming industry by collaborating with BetMGM to launch the Wheel of Fortune Casino, which utilizes exclusively the developer’s games and offers players a unique themed gambling experience with 50 licensed titles.
