IGT rebrands as Brightstar Lottery for future growth
International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has officially rebranded as Brightstar Lottery, effective immediately, as the company prepares to become an independent lottery-focused business.
This follows the planned sale of IGT’s Gaming and Digital operations to Voyager Parent, LLC, owned by Apollo Global Management. The sale is expected to close by July 1, 2025. With nearly 50 years of experience, Brightstar aims to continue leading the global lottery industry through innovation, technology, and responsible gaming.
Vince Sadusky, CEO, commented:
“Brightstar will build on our strong history to help lotteries grow and thrive in a digital world. Our focus is on innovation, customer success, and benefiting the communities our customers serve.”
No action is needed from shareholders regarding the name or ticker change.
“We have a nearly 50-year history of reliability, innovation, and leadership in the lottery, a bedrock from which we are launching Brightstar with a future-forward mindset of helping lottery customers around the world succeed in an environment of digital adoption, shifting player expectations, and an increasing variety of gaming choices.”
added Vince Sadusky.
Brightstar supports almost 90 lotteries across six continents, including 26 U.S. lottery jurisdictions and seven of the world’s top ten lotteries. It will continue trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the new ticker BRSL, expected to begin on July 2, 2025. The official company name will change to Brightstar Lottery PLC after the deal closes.
