India’s Cyber Crime Police Station of Goa has taken a significant step in combating illegal iGaming operations by blocking 61 gambling websites.

iGaming is becoming a huge concern in the state, and the Goa police are intensifying their efforts to protect the public from potential scams and other financial threats. As a result, an investigation into these illegal websites has become vital.

This operation follows a previous successful case, where 96 websites, social media posts, and accounts were blocked under the same legal framework. Since November 2024, a total of 157 websites and accounts have been shut down, reflecting the authorities’ commitment to addressing the issues that come with gambling.

According to The Times of India, citizens are being encouraged to remain aware of any suspicious online activities and to report them promptly to assist in the ongoing investigations.
