Interview with Svitlana – Head of Affiliates at 50 Partners

What affiliates really look for in a program and the people running it.

Interview with Svitlana – Head of Affiliates at 50 Partners

In this interview with AffPapa, Svitlana, Head of Affiliates at 50 Partners, discusses what affiliates value in a program, from its brand and GEO portfolio to flexible deals, strong account management, and honest partnerships.

Yeva: 50 Partners works directly with advertisers, offering affiliates multiple brands and deal types. What do you think makes the program worth a closer look for an affiliate?

First things first, the products in your portfolio make an affiliate program attractive to publishers – the platform, the ”freshness” of the brands, and the popularity of main GEOs.
I believe that it is the heart of every affiliate program, and this aspect always comes before everything else.

Yeva: CPA, RevShare, Hybrid, EPC, and Flat deals are all part of the program. How do you usually decide which model makes the most sense for a specific affiliate?

It always depends on our starting positions – sometimes even the most insane combination could make sense. The main goal here is to make the deal profitable for both sides after all.

Yeva: A good affiliate manager can make a huge difference in a partnership. What do you think affiliates value most from the person managing their account?

It can vary depending on the affiliate type – there are solo guys, big companies, networks, etc. But if we talk about ultimate virtues, I believe that curiosity, prompt answers, and being the one who does care are universally valued.

Yeva: Do affiliates usually come to 50 Partners knowing exactly what they want to promote, or does that often change once they start working with your brands?

Oh yes, that happens all the time – affiliates reach out to us for an exact brand and GEO combination. That’s a word-of-mouth industry, so real endorsements and direct recommendations work best.

Yeva: From your experience, what is one thing that can quickly turn a promising affiliate partnership into a bad one?

Being dishonest. Pretty simple, isn’t it?

Yeva: There is a lot of talk about new GEOs and new traffic sources in iGaming. Is there any part of the affiliate market that you think has more potential than people realize?

The reality in our industry changes fast, and new ideas and approaches come up at least once a week. I think the biggest opportunity is not necessarily beyond the already known ways.

Yeva: You’ve worked closely with affiliates, so I’m curious about your side of operations. What part of the job do you enjoy the most?

Ohh, I’m passionate about organising things – the part where I’m building a new system, streamlining a new flow, and getting everything into a neat structure makes my eyes light up.

Yeva: After working in affiliate marketing for some time, what’s one lesson you’ve learned that you wish you’d known when you were starting out?

At the start, I wish I had known that affiliate marketing is as much about relationships as it is about numbers. Performance matters, but trust, consistency, and maintained relationships with people on the other side of the screen go far beyond the KPIs.
