The British Columbia Lottery Corporation will be the latest operator to make use of Intralot’s retail wagering offerings.

Through the latest collaboration between the two companies, the operator will get access to Intralot’s innovative land-based sports wagering solutions, including its Orion interface and auxiliary management services.

BCLC will get two types of retail wagering machines distributed to its establishments, self-service terminals, and traditional ones. The latter will be available in the operator’s establishments immediately, while the former will get integrated in the near future. Through the machines, BCLC will be able to deliver both wagering and online lottery services to its patrons, further diversifying its offerings.

Moreover, this partnership will also introduce Intralot’s BYOD service, which will enable players to prepare wagering slips ahead of time before transferring their information to a terminal via a QR code.

In total, the collaboration will involve over 3400 traditional retail terminals and over 700 self-service ones across all of BCLC’s land-based wagering properties in British Columbia.

Intralot Board Chairman Nikos Nikolakopoulos commented:

“We are delighted to be able to expand our working relationship with the BCLC to include our sports wagering solutions. We are certain that local bettors will be quite fond of our retail betting services, and we are hoping to have a productive collaboration.”

This collaboration will further expand Intralot’s presence in the rapidly growing Canadian gambling market, allowing it to enhance its local operations.
