Casino gambling in Jamaica

Casino gambling was legalized in Jamaica back in 2010. Initially, the government set high investment requirements and left the market in uncertainty. However, this year, in 2024, things have become easier as the required investment rate decreased to $1.2 billion from 2,000 to 1,000. Princess Hotels took the chance, earning the coveted casino license. With its opening, the casino will bring 1,800 job vacancies and will have 600 casino visitors at a time.
