Judging Begins for Casino Guru Awards 2025
The Casino Guru Awards 2025 enter the judging phase with live calls on April 22–23, giving nominees 30 minutes to showcase their vision and impact.
These evaluation calls, now a signature part of the Awards process, offer nominees the chance to go beyond their written applications. They allow judges to engage directly with the people behind the platforms, initiatives, and innovations, providing a deeper understanding of their purpose and real-world influence.
Featuring two panels composed of internal Casino Guru experts and seasoned professionals from across the iGaming industry, the process ensures a well-rounded and rigorous assessment. The live format invites open conversation, enabling judges to ask questions, clarify details, and explore the extent to which nominees align with the Awards’ core values: fairness, transparency, innovation, and social responsibility.
Daniela Sliva, PR and Creative Project Director at Casino Guru and the visionary behind the Awards, said about the event:
“This part of the process is where the nominations come alive. We’re looking for more than good intentions – we want to see passion, preparation, and a deep understanding of what makes an impact in this industry. These conversations are often eye-opening for both sides, and sometimes a call can change the whole perception of a nomination.”
Every shortlisted candidate will be evaluated through this process, with judges reflecting on both the calls and written materials before anonymously casting their votes. Each judge receives three points to distribute per category, and winners are selected through a transparent point-counting system.
Even nominees who are unable to attend the calls remain eligible to win, though participation provides a valuable opportunity to connect with judges and make a memorable impression. The system is designed to reward thoughtful engagement and integrity at every stage.
Looking Toward Malta
This year’s winners will be announced at the first-ever live Casino Guru Awards Gala, held on June 6, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel in St. Julian’s, Malta. The invite-only event will celebrate responsibility and excellence across the iGaming space.
Public voting is also open for the Players’ Choice and Voice of the People categories, reinforcing the Awards’ commitment to balancing expert insight with community impact.
