Kansspelautoriteit’s Chair, Rene Jansen, will be retiring from his position at the regulator next year.

The regulatory authority has recently announced that following the expiration of his term as the KSA’s Chair, Rene Jansen will not apply for reappointment. The regulator mentioned that the main reason for Jansen’s decision to exit his position was that he will reach the age of retirement at the end of the year.

Kansspelautoriteit’s Chair, Rene Jansen, commented:

“Over the past few years, I have dedicated my efforts towards the Kansspelautoriteit’s mission of ensuring the safety of the gambling market of the Netherlands. The regulator’s new Chair will be faced with many exciting challenges to solve. The position is demanding, requiring a standout set of skills including creativity and dedication, as the Kansspelautoriteit plays a vital role in the country’s regulated gambling market.”

Alongside announcing the upcoming retirement of Jansen, the Kansspelautoriteit has also initiated the recruitment process for his successor. Interested professionals can submit their applications till the 12th of November to have an opportunity to be selected as the regulatory authority’s Chair for a six-year period starting at the end of the current Chair’s tenure in October of next year.
