Meridianbet secures South African sports betting license
Golden Matrix Group, a major creator and licensor of online gambling platforms, systems, and content, has announced that Meridianbet, its South African subsidiary, has been given a sports betting license.
Meridianbet was granted a Bookmaker, Bookmaker Premises, and Manufacturer Licenses by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.

With these licenses, Meridianbet will be authorized to conduct online sports betting throughout the region, demonstrating its compliance with regulations and suitability under South Africa’s strict licensing guidelines. Meridianbet is also able to license its in-house sports betting software in the Western Cape thanks to the Manufacturer License. The accreditation from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board allows the B2B and B2C company to operate sports betting across South Africa.
