Michigan online gambling revenue rebounds in August
Michigan’s online gambling market showed strong momentum in August, breaking the downward trend of the past few months with a solid rebound.
Total iGaming and mobile sports betting revenue for the state hit $312.5m, marking a 9.8% month-on-month increase.
Online casino play made up the majority, bringing in $263.3m, up from $250.5m the month before. Sports betting also witnessed gains in August, with gross receipts increasing to $49.3m from $34.1m in July.
In the same period, Michigan adjusted gross gaming revenue for iGaming and sports betting were reported at $281.4m, with $247.2m coming from the iGaming and $34.2m coming from sports betting.
Sports betting handle in the state went up as well, reaching $338.9m in August, up 19.9% from $282.7m in July.
