BETDAQ, the betting exchange owned by Ladbrokes, announced its plans to offer customers a commission-free deal on all sports on Boxing Day.

All BETDAQ traders will be qualified for 0% commission on a large selection of top flight football fixtures, including the matchup between London popular rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as the annual Boxing Day Test Match between Australia and India at the world famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Furthermore, horse racings’ highly anticipated King George IV Chase at Kempton in Britain, Grade One meetings at Ireland’s Leopardstown and Limerick courses is set to also be part of the offer.

The betting exchange is registered in Gibraltar and normally charges a 2% commission on football, horse racing, greyhound racing and cricket, while all other sports charged at 0%.

BETDAQ’s Head of Marketing Mark Harkin said in an official statement:

“We’re always striving to offer our customers the best product we can and as part of our drive to do that, we’ve made the decision to go commission-free on all sports on Boxing Day – one of the busiest days of the sporting year. With a jam-packed football fixture list as well as exceptional horse racing in both England and Ireland – and much more besides – there is something for all sports fans and it’s very exciting for us as a business to be 0% commission.”

BETDAQ was founded in 2000 by Irish businessman Dermot Desmond, was sold to Ladbrokes in 2013 for an alleged amount of €30 million. The exchange then became part of GVC Group – which is now known as Entain Plc – after the company bought out Ladbrokes Coral in 2018 in a deal worth around £40 billion.
