North Korea seeks casino operator for Ryugyong Hotel

North Korea is looking for a casino operator to finalize the Ryugyong Hotel building and operate the casino in Pyongyang.
For many years, this 1000-foot building has not been finished; Kim Jong Un’s plan to develop tourist inflow is centered around this structure. That operator shall be granted a license on behalf of running a casino and also overseeing hotel services.
The hotel construction started in 1987, but it stopped in 1992 because of economic problems.
Work started again in 2008. However, opening the hotel in 2013 was not possible. On the other hand, North Korea wants to finish the hotel with other facilities like restaurants and offices even though it has some structural problems.
Pyongyang is home to two foreigner-only casinos, another one is close to the border between Russia and China.
