October 2025 gaming revenue in Macau hits post-pandemic peak
October saw the highest gross gaming revenue in Macau since the pandemic at MOP24.09 billion (around US$3 billion), which also represented a 15.9% growth compared to revenue for the same month last year.
The main reason for the increase in the revenues was the huge flow of tourists to the city during the Golden Week holiday, which is normally the busiest, and the new non-gaming attractions that were provided by the casino operators. It appears that the techniques are pulling in more customers, eventually accounting for the total increase in spending.
Macau had the total number of tourists during the eight-day Golden Week holiday from October 1 to 8 reaching 1,144,401, which translates to an average of about 143,000 visitors per day. The ten-month gross gaming revenue for 2025 was MOP205.43 billion (or $25.64 billion), which is 8% higher than the last year’s first ten months.
At the same time, the current number is still 16.7% below the revenue of 2019 for the same period when GGR reached MOP246.74 billion ($30.8 billion).
