Ontario reports strong February with 26.9% iGaming growth

Ontario reported its iGaming revenues for February 2025, highlighting the significant rise of the market by 26.9%.
The new monthly report shows that Ontarians collectively spent US$4.96 billion on iGaming. This highlights the increased popularity of iGaming in the state after its debut in April 2022.
Online casinos were the biggest contributors to this growth, with 30.5% year-on-year growth. Sports betting also saw an increase of 47.6% year on year. These numbers are gaming statistics from iGaming Ontario operators and do not include OLG products or horse race products.
It is important to note that these statistics represent data from iGaming Ontario-licensed operators and do not include the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) products or any gambling related to horse racing. This ensures that the figures presented are focused solely on the regulated, online gaming sector.
A report back from April 2024 highlighted that more than 86% of Ontario gamblers prefer legal, regulated gambling sites over unlicensed ones. This indicates growing confidence in the province’s regulated market and the safety and security that these platforms provide.
