Along with a set of casinos in Ontario, Canada, Getaway Casinos Innisfil also reopened on July 16th, immediately gets packed with visitors ready to play.

Following Ontario’s plan of covid-related re-regulations, a number of Canadian casinos were set to reopen their land-based casino and entertainment establishments by the end of July, and so did the Gateway Casinos Innsfil, located at the Georgian Downs racetrack.

The reopening, however, was only made possible under a strict code of regulations in order to minimize health risks.

The casino started operating at 50% capacity, along with mask wearing and social distancing requirements.

The casino reopened officially on Friday, 16th of July, precisely a minute after midnight, and the customers were super excited. Just a few days later, the property’s parking lot was completely packed.

At the moment, taking into consideration the maximum of 50% capacity rule, the Gateway Casinos Innisfil are only allowing up to 1,671 customers at a time.

The casino’s head of communications – Robert Mitchell, commented about the reopening:

“The fans were super excited to finally visit again. A couple even camped overnight in the parking lot the night of the reopening, which was crazy!

It really looks like our visitors are happy about this. So far, everyone has been very respectful towards the safety regulations as well.”
