The Finnish gambling firm Paf has recently reduced its loss limits and introduced new ones for younger players.

With Paf’s new loss limits, users over 25 years old can lose a maximum of up to 17.5 thousand Euros per year. 20 to 24-year-olds can lose no more than 10 thousand Euros, while younger gamblers up to 19 years old can only lose 1800 Euros per year.

The introduction of lower limits for 18 to 19-year-old customers represents a major reduction of over 80%. This announcement is a big step in ensuring the safety of Paf’s user base and is estimated to cost the firm over 7 million Euros every year.

The Chief Executive Officer of Paf, Christer Fahlstedt, commented:

“Our company is making one of its largest-ever investments in safe and responsible gambling. Our new loss limits will certainly produce a sizable positive impact on our players. We decided to enhance our responsible gambling efforts in this way as it’s the best method of ensuring our long-term sustainability. It is our aim to continually evolve our safe gambling standards and to set ourselves as a leader in the iGaming industry in the area of ensuring responsible play.”

Paf’s Chief Responsibility Officer and Deputy CEO, Daniela Johansson, stated:

“Our newly-updated loss limits are an excellent testament to our company’s dedication to responsible gambling, especially as enhancing protections for younger, and thus, more vulnerable gamblers is paramount to maintain the sustainability of our business in the long run.”

The new changes to Paf’s loss limits will be fully implemented at the start of summer.
