Pennsylvania sets new record with $574.5M in March revenues

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, March 2025 was a record-breaking month for Pennsylvania’s gaming industry.
Gamblers across the state spent more than $574.5 million across all gaming formats, from in-person casinos to online platforms. That’s the highest monthly total the state has ever seen, beating the previous record of $554.6 million.
iGaming claims the crown
iGaming brought in $238.2 million, surpassing its own past record. Online slots alone generated $179.5 million, a 32 % increase when compared to the same period last year. Online table games added another $81.9 million.
Land-based casinos
Unlike other segments, the land-based casino segment saw declines. Slot machine income fell by 2%, and table games dipped by 4%. Sportsbooks also took a hit, bringing in $27 million, down 41% from March 2024, likely thanks to some favorable outcomes for bettors during March Madness.
Video gaming terminal revenues remained steady at $3.7 million, while fantasy sports grew to $1.2 million.
Meanwhile, debates continue around legalizing and regulating skill games. While casinos and the state lottery oppose them, small businesses argue these games are vital to staying afloat with Governor Josh Shapiro’s support.
