PointsBet reveals iGaming launch in Michigan

PointsBet has revealed its first ever iGaming debut in the United States as it launches with its platform in the state of Michigan.

All players in the United States are now able to check out PointsBet’s entire suite of online casino games as the operator acquired approval from the state’s Gaming Control Board. At the moment, the operator has a deal with the Lac Vieux Desert tribe in Michigan which allows it to run its sports betting operations in the state.

Chief executive and managing director of PointsBet, Sam Swanell, mentioned in a comment on the debut:

“Over the past 18 months we have assembled a highly experienced igaming team, which has built our in-house proprietary igaming platform and administrative tools, and I am thrilled to announce our inaugural launch in Michigan. The launch of igaming not only complements our existing sports wagering products, but also removes the disadvantage we have had with customer acquisition, retention and cross sell, compared to those operators with igaming.”

This will become PointsBet’s first ever iGaming release in the country, as it is also working on debuting its platform in New Jersey this June. Right now, the firm runs online sports betting operations in Illinois, New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa.
