Pollard Banknote Limited enters UAE lottery market
Pollard Banknote Limited gets a license to operate in the UAE market with approval from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
The GCGRA, founded in 2023, is the federal body managing all commercial gaming and lottery regulation in the UAE. It promotes integrity in the industry and makes sure the operators meet responsible gambling standards.
Pollard Banknote, now licensed, can offer its lottery-related products and services to support the growing base of regulated operators in the market.
Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Pollard Banknote Limited, shared in a press release:
“We are very excited for the wide variety of opportunities this new license will afford Pollard Banknote. We are eager to foster a strong partnership in the UAE and introduce our portfolio of proven, innovative lottery and gaming products and services that will help boost revenue and support charitable causes.”
Pollard Banknotes offers go from its signature instant ticket products and digital games to specialized merchandising and non-traditional retail lottery tools through subsidiaries like Schafer Retail Solutions and American Games/International Gamco.
The UAE’s regulated lottery system officially launched in 2024 and provided licenses for many companies such as Scientific Games, Aristocrat, Novomatic, and Brightstar. Light & Wonder and Konami Gaming will join the GCGRA’s approved roster as well.
According to the GCGRA’s official records, Pollard Banknote Limited is now one of 14 gaming-related officially listed vendors.
