Ottawa’s Rideau Carleton Casino is officially set to reopen its doors to the public today – August 16, a month after Ontario’s reopening plan began.

The Rideau Carleton Casino in Ottawa, Ontario is officially going to reopen this evening, through a partnership with Hard Rock.

Due to the reopening during the new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the casino’s reopening is going to be carried out through phases.

During the 1st phase of the reopening, electronic game tables and slot machines are going to be the first to start operating at Rideau Carleton Casino.

Secondly, the dining and entertainment lounges are going to reopen.

The casino’s General Manager – Helen MacMillan, commented on the big news:

“We are happy to welcome our dear guests and customers at the newly reopened Rideau Carleton Casino after the pandemic-related break, as other casinos in Ontario were also closed.”

The official hour for the reopening will be at 9pm.

As mentioned before, the casinos were closed in Ontario, and are set to reopen, however they are all required to re-start operating strictly under a set of regulations, such as operating at a maximum of 50% capacity, as well as mask, sanitary and social distancing regulations.
