SkyCity Entertainment Group names Jason Walbridge as CEO
Jason Walbridge, a former Aristocrat executive, has been named CEO of SkyCity Entertainment Group.
On Wednesday morning, a release was sent announcing the news. Julian Cook, Chair of the SkyCity Board, believes that Jason’s wide-ranging worldwide experience in both online and physical gambling sectors will position him favourably to lead SkyCity into its next phases.
For the job, Walbridge will relocate to New Zealand, and it is projected that he will start in his new capacity in early July. Before joining SkyCity, he spent over eighteen years working for Aristocrat Leisure, holding executive positions in both the US and New Zealand. Furthermore, he previously worked with Light & Wonder, which went on to purchase online gambling supplier NYX gambling Group.
Callum Mallett will remain in his position as chief executive officer until Walbridge formally takes over, as Walbridge’s approval is subject to regulatory clearance.
