Spain casinos hit €346.3m in Q2
Gross gaming revenue in Spain has risen 10.8 percent year-on-year in Q2 to €346.3m.
The GGR Q2 results in Spain fell by 1.2%. The Spanish gambling regulator, DGOJ, reported that the casino sector took the lead in revenue and generated €171.7 million, which is nearly half of the total revenue. This is an increase of 2.3%. When compared to last year’s results, casino revenues grew by 14.6%.
Betting comes next with an increase of 9.1%, which is equal to €145.5 million. This is 42% of the total revenue.
Bingo is in third place with an increase of 1.9%, which is equal to €3.6 million.
Overall, player deposits and withdrawals rose by about 17.9% and 17.8%, respectively. However, only withdrawals increased slightly by 0.97% from the previous quarter, while deposits decreased by 0.3%.
The average number of active gaming accounts for the second quarter was 1.4 million, up 5.5% from the previous quarter and 23.7% from last year.
