Star assigns Jessica Mellor as CEO of Gold Coast property
Jessica Mellor will be leading the Star Gold Coast’s operations as the property’s CEO.
This latest promotion is part of the operator’s recent internal restructuring through which the company aims to establish separate operational units for its venues in Sydney, Brisbane, and Gold Coast. Each operation will have a dedicated CEO who will be reporting to the group’s Chief Executive.
The Star’s MD and Group Chief Executive, Robbie Cooke, remarked:
“We are excited to have Jessica take over the position of the CEO of our Gold Coast property. The team behind the establishment has managed to deliver standout experiences to our patrons over the last several years, even through difficult times.”
The new appointee commented:
“At the time of joining the team behind the Star Gold Coast, it was exciting for me to take on such an excellent opportunity in Gold Coast, and this latest position will be taking that excitement to the next level. Having always focused on delivering our patrons a set of leading experiences, I am excited to lead the property’s team as the CEO.”
Mellor initially joined Star Entertainment as a General Manager in the spring of 2019, shortly after which she was promoted to COO of the company’s Gold Coast establishment. Prior to joining the operator, she held numerous management positions at a variety of major corporations in Australia.
