Super Group releases Spin and other casino brands in Ontario
Super Group has received approval to release its online casino brands in Ontario, Canada, especially for its Spin, a multi-brand online casino offering.
This announcement comes after Super Group’s Betway was authorized to operate in Ontario.
The group expects to gain approval from Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission for every brand. AGCO gave licenses for the following titles:
- Jackpot City
- Royal Vegas
- Ruby Fortune
- Spin Casino
Although the market’s licensing approvals are only for one year, each of the titles indicated above received a license for two years.
Super Group’s 4 brands are going to be the last ones to enter the market after the approval of operators ranging from SkillOnNet to Casumo and PokerStars.
Three years ago (in 2019) the provincial government announced that they are going to close the lottery’s online gambling monopoly. Therefore, following that decision, earlier this year, Ontario decided to open its market for operators.
In May Super Group reported the results of its financial performance for the first quarter, revealing that the brand had a revenue of 344.5 million dollars. Though the profit from Spin was decreased by 4.5%, amounting to 147.5 million dollars.
As a result of this, Neil Menashe, who is the chief executive officer of the brand, stated that it would be hard for them to fulfill their financial goals for this year.
