The Ontario-regulated gambling market launched with a very loud bang and continued to mature in its third year. Robust year-over-year growth from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025, resulted in $82.7 billion in wagers and $3.2 billion in gross gaming revenue. No one is left wondering if its success was just a flash in the pan. This is a market that is growing into its potential.

As Heidi Reinhart, Chair of iGamingOntario’s Board of Directors, told the press in April,

“These results show Ontario is home to a truly dynamic igaming market with a strong roster of operators and a world-class list of games available for players. With 49 operators offering 84 gaming sites, Ontario’s regulated market continues to grow by offering a safer environment for Ontarians to play.”

While some Canadian provinces, like Quebec, are still bound to the government-controlled monopoly models, which can be very restrictive in terms of choice, many Ontarians find themselves at the other extreme. There are so many great options that they can find themselves overwhelmed and suffering from decision fatigue. Rather than being empowering, choice overload can have the opposite effect, leaving players stuck to the same familiar site and missing out on all kinds of exciting opportunities.

Fortunately, independent expert review site Casino.org does not suffer from overload and does not struggle to process all the available information. Its 25-step, data-driven review process has stood the test of time (they have been in this game for over three decades), and they have done the heavy lifting to find the best of the best among online casino Ontario operators.

They regularly test over 65 AGCO / iGO-approved casino sites and apps to bring players the best deals. They help players decide from more than 3,300 real-money games and have found payouts of up to 98.71%. They are continuously on the hunt for excellence including safe and same-day payouts. They say that their mission is to help stack the odds in the player’s favour with honest, expert advice on all things gambling. They aim to keep players one step ahead and solve the problem of uncertainty in online gambling. Their top picks allow Ontarians to get on with playing their best game.

Before revealing their picks for this month, it is important to understand that they are not paid by Casino X or Y to boost their ratings. Their review framework is rigorous and transparent. The casinos are tested by industry experts with years of first-hand experience; they are properly tested and played at as if by your average iGamer (but with Xray specs on!). This allows them to gain unrivalled insights into everything from bonus fairness and payout speed to customer support and player safety. (The experts don’t actually have Xray specs on of course, but they might as well have).

The insider knowledge that is gleaned, is then combined with impartial opinions to provide reviews that are trustworthy and thorough. When they recommend a casino, it is because they would play there themselves (and in fact have as part of conducting the review).

So, without much more ado, here are what they have whittled the long list down to (in reverse order)

10 Party Casino

 9 KnightSlots

 8 LeoVegas

 7 JackpotCity

 6 PowerPlay

 5 SportsInteraction

 4 BETMGM

 3 Toppz.ca

 2 ToonieBet

 1 CasinoDays

Casino Days

Looking specifically at their top-rated sites, they scored CasinoDays a whopping 5/5. Their content Editor explained that it scored strongly across all categories, including:

Bonus and Offers, Software and Games, Withdrawal Speed, Security, Mobile and Customer Service.

However, because Casino.org’s ratings are not decided by algorithm alone, it was interesting to hear her personal feedback. Here is what she had to say,

“Casino Days gets a high score for me, which places it at the top of our expert’s list of the best online casinos in Ontario. The library feels alive with new releases, alongside hundreds of feature buy titles, Megaways favourites, and high-max-win slots with payouts over 10,000x. I even spotted a few progressive jackpots in the King Millions series, with prize pools running into the hundreds of thousands.

But it’s not just about spinning reels. The live casino delivers that real table feel with roulette, blackjack, and big-name game shows like Crazy Time and Monopoly Live. The full suite is available via mobile app, with the web version running just as smoothly.

Getting started was straightforward. I tested the site with a $10 Visa deposit and saw plenty of other options like Interac, PaysafeCard, and e-wallets, some starting from just $1. Withdrawals are a real highlight at Casino Days, as there are no minimum cashout limits, and payouts usually land within 24 hours”

As you can see, the site was thoroughly tested and put through its paces. It has over 1,700 games (including 170 live dealer options which is nearly double the province’s average. The site has low deposit minimums from just $1 and does not have minimum withdrawal limits. The experts were also very takes with the navigation and praised the detailed menus and filtering tools.  While they noted that there was no sports betting integration and that the VIP program is invite early, these minor irritations did not attract from CasinoDays perfect score.

ToonieBet

Its closest rival, ToonieBet, is a new online casino with an enormous game selection, a highly rated mobile app, and fast e-wallet payouts. Given that it only launched in 2024 and is operated by a company that had never previously opened an online casino, Ziv Chan who reviewed it described it as a secure, enjoyable experience with an impressive game lobby with over 3,300 games. However, it was marked down for having poor responsible gambling tools compared to the likes of LeoVegas and 888casino. Customer support and FAQs on the website were also considered to be somewhat lacking. While it has more games than rival operators, Ziv reported that there were no exclusive games.

Toppz Casino

Toppz Casino is also a relative newcomer. Casino.org’s Sephora Josserand was captivated by the impressive game selection and their broad range of software providers from big names like Pragmatic Play and NetEnt to a mixture of lesser-known indie companies. In total they feature more than 1900 slots, tables and live dealer games from 69 software providers. However, the expert reviewers were less happy that there was no demo mode available, so deposits must be made to try anything out. However, if these issues can be ironed out, Toppz Casino could be one to watch out for in the future.
