UK industry commences Safer Gambling Week 2023
The latest installment of the UK’s Safer Gambling Week has recently started.
The initiative has started today and will last till the end of the week, throughout which gambling companies across the United Kingdom will be allocating an increased amount of focus and marketing budget to promoting various responsible gambling messages. The participants of the initiative, which includes the entirety of the country’s licensed gambling organizations, will highlight the tools players have to ensure their gambling behaviors remain sustainable.
The latest installment of the program, which is organized by three UK gambling associations, BACTA, the Bingo Association, and the BGC, is in its 7th year, having highlighted the importance of responsible gambling in the United Kingdom for quite a few years. The initiative will continue building upon its accomplishments from past years, aiming to further expand its impact.
During the initiative’s running last year, more than 200 thousand accounts established deposit limits, which represented a year-over-year increase of more than 12%. Moreover, more than 60% of those accounts set limits for the first time, further solidifying the week’s success. The initiative’s latest running will aim to surpass those figures and further expand the use of responsible gambling measures across the United Kingdom.
