Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission stated that Unibet needs to pay fines for breaking advertising standards.

AGCO says that earlier in spring Unibet posted gambling inducements as the company promoted gaming offers.

The AGCO Online Gambling Standards forbids the advertisement for gaming bonuses and other actions by extensive band, with marketing limited to operator’s website posted after the consent of the consumers has been obtained.

As the brand violated those rules the brand was penalized and needed to pay frothy-eight thousand Canadian dollars.

However, Unibet has the opportunity to appeal against this matter.

“We want all the operators to keep the laws of reasonable gambling, the safeguard of the customers and more. The AGCO is going to keep checking those webpages to make sure that the obligations are followed.”

explained Tom Mungham, AGCO’s CEO.

Unibet managed to obtain a license in Ontario earlier this year.
