VGCCC requires licensees to display YourPlay brochures

The VGCCC has recently updated its regulations on displaying brochures of the YourPlay responsible gambling toolkit in licensed gambling venues across Victoria.

On the 1st of December last year, the VGCCC introduced a new requirement for licensed land-based gambling establishments to display a variety of brochures promoting the YourPlay responsible gambling toolkit. Through the scheme, gambling enthusiasts in the Australian state of Victoria are able to manage their gambling behaviors through a variety of means, namely by setting play limits.

The regulatory authority has recently published a reminder for its licensees to ensure their compliance with the new rules, which will involve displaying three brochures promoting various features of the program. The brochures are color-coded, with purple ones containing general information on YourPlay, blue brochures explaining how it works, and white ones covering facts about playing on gambling terminals.

The VGCCC also mentioned in its announcement that these brochures are required to be displayed in a few key areas in a gambling venue, including at each service and cashier points, and anywhere operators display information on their loyalty programs if they offer one to their players.

Moreover, the new rules dictate how many brochures operators should have available in their establishments, with the numbers of each of the three key ones required to be equal to or greater than the number of gambling terminals present in the venue.
