The American state of Wyoming grants sports betting permission certificates to Genius Sports, DraftKings, BetMGM, and other big companies in the industry.

The Wyoming Gaming Commission has given permission for regulated sports betting to a number of major sportsbook operators, including Genius Sports, DraftKings, BetMGM, and others.

For Genius Sports, this market entrance marks the 15th US state where the operator currently is legally operating.

Genius Sports’ Chief Executive – Mark Locke, stated:

“Genius is happy to enter the state of Wyoming, with the permission of the Wyoming Gaming Commission, which gives us the opportunity to affirm ourselves in this growing market by collaborating with the local companies and bringing high-class sports betting products to the scene.

We are thrilled to be a part of the US sports betting expansion.”

For DraftKings as well, the certification opens yet another US state for operating, having entered the states of Michigan and Virginia earlier this year, marking the 13th state in America for the company.

DraftKings’ CEO – Matt Kalish, commented:

“We are excited to have been playing our part in the expansion of regulated sports betting in the US”

BetMGM will also be debuting its mobile sportsbook in the state, making it one of the first mobile sportsbooks in Wyoming.

BetMGM’s Chief Executive – Adam Greenblatt, highlighted the importance of the state of Wyoming for their company, as a strategic American market for legalized mobile sports betting.
