Betway announces its sponsorship with Rio Open

Betway‘s sponsorship of the Rio Open 2022 and 2023 makes the gambling company the tennis tournament’s ultimate betting partner.

Throughout the competition, Betway will earn association privileges and courtside advertising. As part of the agreement to generate “engaging content” for all tennis enthusiasts, the Betway brand will also be featured on the Rio Open’s social media and other digital channels.

Claro will host the event, which will take place on the Jockey Club Brasileiro’s eight clay courts.

Anthony Werkman, Betway’s chief executive, stated:

“We’re happy to become a top partner of The Rio Open, Brazil’s only ATP Tour tournament, contributing to our awe-inspiring track record of tennis sponsorships. The event is always competed by the sport’s greatest players, and being associated with it is yet another big achievement for the Betway company.”

Last month, the Super Group-owned business agreed to become the official betting partner of the oldest Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament. Following the cancellation of the competition last year, this year’s event began on November 6th.

Marcia Casz, The Rio Open’s Director, went on to say:

“It is an honor to have a name as well-known as Betway in the Rio Open lineup.” We are highly successful in getting one of the pioneers in its category as a partner in Latin America’s premier tennis tournament, and we want to continue our cooperation for upcoming years.”

Last December, due to COVID escalation, L’Équipe announced the tournament was no longer on the ATP’s provisional calendar. The tennis tournament had been deferred by the IMM Sports and Entertainment, a Brazilian event organizer, and the Rio Institute of Tennis.

Betway has gone deeper into the athletic sector by working with the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils (NHL), further strengthening its brand in the US.

The gambling company will benefit from additional branding and marketing options on in-bowl LEDs, scoreboards, and TV-visible signs.
