BGC backs new sporting codes of conduct
The Premier League, English Football League, British Horseracing Authority, and official bodies representing darts, snooker, and boxing, have adopted new sporting codes of conduct.
Together with the Betting and Gambling Council, they have produced a unique voluntary code of conduct for betting sponsorship partnerships, covering the whole industry.
Michael Dugher, BGC Chair commented:
“I welcome the publication of these landmark codes that BGC has led on, which sets new standards for sports. These new measures are good for sport, good for BGC members and good for fans.”
The BGC members are proud to support the nation’s favorite ones in sports. This comes hand in hand with certain values, including keeping young people safe, being socially responsible, investing in communities, and maintaining sporting integrity, which makes British clubs stand out.
Additionally, these new codes represent big steps forward and ensure the commitment toward the responsible way of betting sponsorship agreements.
