CEO Gavin Isaacs departs from Entain after five months

One of the world’s largest gambling companies, Entain, announced the departure of CEO Gavin Isaacs.

Isaacs joined Entain in September 2024 and has been a well-known figure in the gambling industry for years. He’s held key roles at major companies like Scientific Games, Aristocrat, and DraftKings. However, Entain hasn’t shared much about the departure, only calling it a “mutual decision.”

For now, Stella David, Entain’s Non-Executive Chair, will temporarily take the role of CEO, and Pierre Bouchut, a Senior Independent Director, will take over as Non-Executive Chair while the company searches for a permanent leader.

Interim CEO Stella David stated:

“Entain is making strong progress in delivering our strategic priorities. We would like to thank Gavin for his contribution. The board and management remain aligned on the group’s focus on operational excellence and maximizing shareholder value.”

Following the announcement, Entain’s stock took a nearly 10% hit. However, the company remains optimistic, sticking to its 2024 earnings forecast, which sits at the higher end of its expected range.

Entain will release its full-year financial results on March 6, 2025, which should provide more insight into how it’s navigating these changes.
