ComeOn appoints Juergen Reutter as new CEO

ComeOn Group, the Cherry AB subsidiary, has nominated Juergen Reutter as its new Chief Executive. Reutter will be replacing Lahcene Merzoug as CEO of ComeOn after the executive confirmed he would be resigning in Q3 of 2020 in order to move forward with ventures outside of the iGaming sector.

“We are pleased to announce Juergen’s appointment as the new CEO of the ComeOn Group,” said Itai Frieberger, chairman of the ComeOn Group. “Juergen is bringing over 20 years of digital experience and a wealth of industry expertise to the organization.”

Reutter, who has been an industry executive for twenty years, is the former founder and CEO of Addison Global, an operating company of defunct mobile sportsbook MoPlay (launched in 2017). Reutter, praised for his extensive knowledge in executing digital growth strategies for iGaming operators, also served as CEO of William Hill’s online division and operations director from 2014-2017.

Reutter will be given the duty of continuing and improving ComeOn’s strategic reforms, which saw the Cherry AB online gambling subsidiary retire all brands for the UK market in 2019, stating that the company would focus on more favourable jurisdictions. Cherry’s board asked for an immediate review of the ComeOn brand portfolio and strategy in 2018, after the subsidiary had missed key growth targets following its full buyout in 2017.
