Crystal Palace announced as first GamStop Premier League partner

GamStop, the self-exclusion solution for online gambling, has announced its first partner for the English Premier League, Crystal Palace.

Through this deal, the club will be providing some insight and information about GamStop and its services all over its own social media accounts, as well as donating advertising earnings from its Selhurst Park home stadium to the service.

Moreover, GamStop will be working closely with Crystal Palace in order to offer training free of charge revolving around its services in the club’s local community. Back in 2018, the club became the first one to begin working with GambleAware out of all Premier League teams.

Steve Parish, chairman of Crystal Palace, stated:

“Whilst most people who gamble on football do so to enhance their enjoyment of the sport, GamStop gives anyone experiencing problems with their gambling a chance to regain control.”

Fiona Palmer, chief executive at GamStop, also said:

“The pandemic has led to increased sign-ups and we are trying to ensure that anybody who is struggling with their gambling, or has a loved one experiencing problems, knows where they can access support. The support of Crystal Palace will help us extend our reach and we hope that other Premier League and women’s clubs will follow their example.”

At this moment, W88 is Crystal Palace’s main shirt sponsor in an agreement which is set to run until the 2020-2021 season comes to a close.
