The Spillemyndigheden recently published a new report detailing that Danish gamblers spent 2350 kroner on the pastime on average in 2022.

Danish players’ spending has placed Denmark in 12th place among European countries in terms of gambling spend, behind all of its Scandinavian neighbors. Norway, Sweden, and Finland recorded average gambling spending of around 2390, 2490, and 2620 Danish kronor in the period respectively.

Moreover, Spillemyndigheden’s report also detailed that more than 60% of Denmark’s gamblers enjoyed the pastime online in 2022 through various devices like mobile phones and computers, which has placed the country in fourth place in Europe, behind Sweden, Finland, and Slovakia, where the online vertical made up for 68%, 66%, and 62% of the gambling market.

The report also highlighted the country’s channelization rate, which was recorded at 89.2% in 2022, which is 0.1% lower than in 2021, however, Denmark is still in the top ten among European countries in 7th place.
