The Danish Gambling Authority has released statistics for May 2024, showing a decline.

The results reveal that total gambling spending on betting, online casinos, gambling machines, and land-based casinos fell in May 2024 compared to May 2023. 

In May, the overall gambling spend in Denmark declined by 3.4% year on year, with online gambling venues retaining the largest vertical in the most recent reporting period.

IGaming generated £31.5 million in gross gaming income, up 10.3 percent from £28.6 million in May 2023.

Online casinos generated 48.7% of the £64.8 million in GGR for May 2024.

Betting was the next biggest driver of Danish GGR in May, earning £18.6 million, followed by gaming machine income of £10.9 million and land-based casino revenue of £3.6 million.

Betting revenue and gambling machine revenue declined by 21.5% and 2%, respectively, year on year, while revenue from land-based casinos increased by 3.2%.
