Detroit’s commercial casino sector has shown solid performance during November 2025, with the city’s three main operators generating $108.2 million in gaming revenue.
Most of the revenue was generated by traditional casino activities, with table games and slot machines accounting for $106.5 million and retail sports betting for $1.7 million. The clear market leader was MGM Grand Detroit, which held 47% of the total revenue. MGM collected $50.7 million in table and slot revenue, indicating a 3% rise from 2024.
For November 2025, casinos contributed $8.63 million in state gaming taxes and an additional $13.2 million to the City of Detroit through wagering taxes and development agreement payments.
The total handle from retail sports betting activity was $14.4 million, producing $1.7 million in gross receipts. Again, MGM Grand Detroit came in first with $587,294 in gross receipts.
Casinos paid $64,553 in state taxes from retail sports betting and $78,899 in city wagering taxes. Meanwhile, back in October 2025, Fantasy contest operators alone generated $921,446 in adjusted revenues and contributed $77,401 in taxes during the month.
