In its earnings call on August 12, 2026, for the first half of the year, evoke revealed that its revenue stayed relatively flat at £887.5 million, as the company is nearing its acquisition by Bally’s Intralot.

Adjusted EBITDA, on the other hand, dropped by 10% year-on-year to £150.2 million, as a result of higher gaming duties, which comprised £46 million. This figure was driven by the increase in Remote Gaming Duty in the UK, with the rate going up from 21% to 40%. Additionally, adjusted pretax profit came in at £700,000.

Revenue for the UK and Ireland sector rose by 4%, thanks to strong performance from William Hill, with the iGaming segment seeing a 7% increase in revenue. Adjusted EBITDA for the region also increased by a further 28%.

CEO of evoke, Per Widerström, commented:

“The first half demonstrated the resilience of the business in a significantly more challenging operating environment following substantial increases in gaming duties introduced across some of our core markets, most notably in the UK.”

International revenue dropped by 2%, but specific countries reported relatively better results, with Italy seeing a 21% jump in revenue and Denmark recording a 13% rise. Because of higher duty rates in Romania and Italy, adjusted EBITDA for the international segment declined by 20%.

Evoke’s retail revenue grew by 4%, but the company reported 270 fewer retail shops in H1 2026, compared to 2025’s numbers. At the same time, the operator shared that the number of active users also dropped by 6% year-on-year.
