FanDuel named its new chief people officer
Caralyn Cooley has been appointed as the new chief people officer at FanDuel.
FanDuel is a North American gaming and betting operator. The company appointed Caralyn Cooley as its new chief people officer. Cooley previously served as executive vice president and chief people officer at US farming company Bowery Farming.
FanDuel’s chief executive officer, Amy Howe, commented:
“Throughout her distinguished career, Caralyn has held global roles building highly effective people teams that drive performance and reflect the needs of today’s diverse corporate culture. Her energy and passion for sports and the gaming sector made her an ideal fit, and her arrival strengthens our executive leadership team.”
Caralyn Cooley has previous experience in the same role working at Nordeus, the creator of the mobile game Eleven, between 2017 and 2019.
FanDuel’s performance
Fanduel is one of the two leading sportsbooks in the US. Unlike competitors like DraftKings, FanDuel has the advantage of being part of a larger, well-established company. This lets the company focus on long-term growth instead of just short-term profits. With strong financial backing, FanDuel has been profitable for a while and reinvests in key areas like customer acquisition and technology.
FanDuel’s success is due to better MLB betting options and a shift of players from fantasy sports to casino games, leading to more active users.
