An American gambling company offering sportsbooks, online casinos, and horse racing, FanDuel, surpassed DraftKings with its increased November revenues by 27.4%.
DraftKings and FanDuel have been dominating the U.S. iGaming and sports betting markets for a long time. In November, FanDuel significantly surpassed DraftKings, which saw a decrease from Q3’s 27% to 26.1% in November.
FanDuel’s success did not go unnoticed. Senators Mike Lee and Peter Welch have called for federal scrutiny, urging the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate potential antitrust violations. The lawmakers are concerned that an investigation will somehow restrict the competition between FanDuel and DraftKings. Earlier this year, in August, FanDuel claimed the crown and surpassed DraftKings in Ohio, generating $16.9 million in taxable revenue from a $165.7 million handle with a 10.2% hold.
While FanDuel and DraftKings keep dominating the market, different calls for regulatory intervention add a layer of uncertainty to their dominance. Whether they keep dominating the market or not, the U.S. iGaming market will continue its dynamic motion.

Next to FanDuel and DraftKings are also other players like BetMGM, Fanatics Betting and Gaming, and ESPN Bet. BetMGM secured 22.3% of the November market share, which is the best performance for this year. Meanwhile, Fanatics Betting and Gaming and ESPN Bet remained behind, securing only 2.3% and 2%, respectively
