Finalists of Virginia casino resort revealed by City of Richmond
The mayor’s office in the City of Richmond in Virginia has now revealed the three finalists concerning the bid for a casino and resort construction.
The three finalists were Bally’s Richmond Casino Resort, One Casino + Resort as well as Live! Casino & Hotel Richmond, naming the reasons for their choosing to be impressive proposals and in-depth financial research.
Moreover, the City Council’s Evaluation Panel is now going to launch negotiations with the three listed above, and its aim is to suggest an approved operator and venue to the Council in about two months. If the Council chooses this operator, then all residents will be able to vote on its proposal. And once it is chosen in the vote, the casino will be established and constructed.
There were initially six proposals set forth, and the three that were not selected were revealed as being Pamunkey Indian Tribe & Reservation, Wind Creek Hospitality and Golden Nugget.
Bally’s Corporation president and CEO George Papanier stated that the operator’s plan will greatly benefit the city of Richmond. Bally’s had agreed on obtaining Gamesys just yesterday.
“We are excited and honored to have been selected as a finalist and have the continued opportunity to partner with the City of Richmond, its residents and businesses on this campaign. We are confident that our proposal will provide incomparable economic benefits to the greater Richmond community, and we look forward to continuing our dialogue to prove to the City and its various stakeholders that Bally’s is for RVA.”
During the next week, Richmond will be holding three separate virtual meetings with every one of the operators in order to go over the projects as well as give some answers to the general public.
