Flutter secured 11% market share following NSX acquisition
Thanks to its acquisition of a 56% share in Betnacional’s parent company, NSX Group, Flutter secured an 11% market share.
Flutter announced the acquisition plan earlier this month. The deal is expected to close by Q2 2025 and will establish a new business, ‘Flutter Brazil.’ It will include the Betfair brand and NSX Group’s Pagbet, MrJack.bet, and Betpix brands.
Brazil is part of Flutter’s “consolidate and invest” strategy, together with countries like Armenia, Spain, and Turkey, which generated 77% of its H1 revenue.
During a presentation in New York, Flutter highlighted that the NSX deal positions it as a leading player in Brazil’s soon-to-be-regulated betting market.
International CEO Dan Taylor told investors:
“We think next year will be a point in time to grab market share.”
Flutter expects to have an 18% annual growth rate, with the market reaching $4.3 billion by 2030.
Currently, NSX holds 9% of Brazil’s online market. Net gaming revenue in Brazil for 2023 was estimated at $2.8 billion. These results also come from Flutter’s brands.
Flutter’s combined revenue from Betfair and NSX for the year ending June 2024 was $330 million, with 1.3 million monthly active players. Brazil contributed just 1% to Flutter’s total revenue in 2023.
