Former FanDuel executive joins Penn’s interactive division

PENN Entertainment announced the appointment of former FanDuel executive, Billy Turchin as Chief Product Officer in Interactive division.

With his experience of four years as SVP of Product at FanDuel, Billy Turchin is stepping into a major role overseeing PENN’s digital products like ESPN Bet, the new Hollywood Casino app (now live in three states), and theScore, which recently launched a stand-alone casino app in Ontario.

Billy Turchin wrote in a LinkedIn post:

“Along with cutting-edge digital products, PENN Entertainment features the largest and most diverse gaming footprint in North America, operating 43+ casino and racetrack properties under well-known brands including Hollywood, Ameristar, L’Auberge, M, and more. The expansive online and physical footprint allows Penn to deliver unparalleled omni-channel entertainment experiences. I’m thrilled to be part of shaping what comes next and grateful for the opportunity to be a disrupter in this rapidly evolving industry.”

Turchin’s background at FanDuel included everything from player accounts to fraud prevention. Despite the $2 billion deal PENN made with Disney to launch the brand, the sportsbook still hasn’t cracked the top tier.

This appointment marks the third major leadership change in PENN’s digital team. Recently, the company also added Gadi Rouache and Mike Andrews.
