GiG appoints Richard Carter as Sportsbook and Platform CEO

Richard Carter has recently been named as the CEO of GiG’s Sportsbook and Platform offerings.

The new appointee has a lot of experience in the gambling industry, with some of the highlights of his career including being the CEO of Bragg Gaming and SBTech, with his tenure at the latter firm lasting for almost half a decade. These experiences have given Carter a wealth of industry knowledge that will be invaluable for the growth of GiG’s platform and sportsbook offerings.

The new appointee commented:

“I am thrilled to be the CEO of GiG’s sportsbook and platform division at such an exciting time for the company. The firm’s market-leading platform solution has helped the group maintain its position in the industry, along with its excellent growth momentum. I am quite eager to start working with the professional team behind GiG’s platform offerings to help the firm expand.”

The Chairman of GiG’s Board of Directors, Petter Nylander, remarked:

“We are excited to be welcoming Richard to our team in the very near future. The GiG Board believes that thanks to his extensive experience in the gambling sector as CEO at numerous major industry companies, Richard is an excellent candidate to lead our platform and sportsbook division.”

In his latest position, Carter will be tasked with growing the company’s sportsbook and platform division across the globe, building upon its strong position in the industry as a SaaS provider. Furthermore, the new appointee will also be responsible for the transformation of the division into a standalone public company, which will be done as part of GiG’s new strategy that aims to split the firm into two separate entities to boost growth.
