IGT and Rhode Island Lottery extend sports wagering contract

IGT will keep delivering sports wagering offerings to the Rhode Island Lottery for the next three years.

Through this extension, the operator will retain access to the developer’s PlaySports wagering platform for the next three years. Combined with its collaboration with William Hill, the Rhode Island Lottery will continue utilizing the provider’s platform to power its online and land-based wagering offerings on mobile devices and at two retail betting locations.

The Director of the Rhode Island Lottery, Mark Furcolo, stated:

“We are thrilled with the progress we have made in the past few years, which we attribute to our partnership with IGT and our operator partner William Hill. Through our latest contract extension, we will have the ability to continue utilizing IGT’s excellent sports wagering solutions to deliver top-notch experiences to our players.”

The President of Sports Wagering at IGT, Joe Asher, commented:

“The Rhode Island Lottery was among the earliest operators to provide sports betting options to its customers in 2018, and we are excited to continue collaborating with them to this day. With our latest enhancements, we are certain that local sports fans will be delighted with Rhode Island Lottery’s wagering offerings. We are eager to have a productive collaboration.”

This extension will further solidify IGT’s foothold in the growing US market, as its PlaySports solution is deployed with more than 80 operators across the North American continent.
